Human Rights Measure

Armenia enacted a series of at least nine measures to both “alleviate” and “neutralize” the economic consequences of the pandemic. these measures were aimed to support: “separate business entities operating in the Republic of Armenia” (1^st Package of Measures to Alleviate the Economic Consequences of Covid-19 Outbreak), “separate business entities operating in the agricultural sector” (2^nd Package of Measures to Neutralize the Economic Consequences of Covid-19 Outbreak), “business entities . . . that are subjects of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship” (The 3^rd Package of Measures to Alleviate the Economic Consequences of Covid-19 Outbreak), “families with children under 14 years old facing social difficulties caused by the challenges in the labour market as a result of Covid-19 outbreak” (The 4^th Package of Measures to Neutralize the Economic Consequences of Covid-19 Outbreak), “separate business entities facing issues related to the maintenance of productive workforce resulted by the Covid-19 outbreak” (5^th Package of Measures to Alleviate the Economic Consequences of Covid-19 Outbreak), “citizens of the Republic of Armenia facing social difficulties caused by the challenges in the labour market as a result of Covid-19 outbreak” (6^th Package of Measures to Alleviate the Economic Consequences of Covid-19 Outbreak), “pregnant women facing social difficulties caused by the challenges in the labour market as a result of Covid-19 outbreak” (7^th Package of Measures to Alleviate the Economic Consequences of Covid-19 Outbreak), “the employees and individual entrepreneurs . . . in the most affected areas of the private sector . . . as a result of the CoVID-19 outbreak” (The 8^th Package of Measures to Alleviate the Economic Consequences of Covid-19 Outbreak), and “households with children under 18, facing social difficulties as a result of CoVID-19 outbreak” (The 9^th Package of Measures to Alleviate the Economic Consequences of COVID-19 Outbreak). Support was to be provided in the form of loan support (packages 1-3) and lump sum payments (packages 4-8).
