In response “to the current health situation linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, exceptional provisions . . . in particular in the context of powers of attorney” were put into place for France’s June 2020 municipal elections. These provisions include “simplified procedures for carrying out a power of attorney.” Further, the relevant new forms “dispense with specifying a reason to justify the request for the establishment of  power of attorney.”
